Summary of Position
The Vice President of Digital Marketing will be a seasoned executive responsible for spearheading the social strategies of series and brand campaigns. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to elevate the network's brand awareness with a focus on audience expansion and fan engagement through creative and cutting-edge campaign tactics. We are seeking an individual who is not only a strategic leader but also deeply knowledgeable about the ever-evolving social landscape, trends, platforms, and digital channels. As the department manager, this role will be instrumental in empowering and guiding the team with a clear vision and direction, while fostering a culture of strategic and creative innovation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direction, development, and execution of digital marketing strategies and campaigns on digital and social media platforms to increase viewership, enhance brand awareness, brand integrations, generate subscribers, increase market share
- Drive the vision for the department, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and executive leadership to ensure seamless integration of social and digital strategies across various platforms and tactics
- Develop and establish clear KPIs, goals, and benchmarks for the team and ensure a standard of excellence by evaluating performance against desired outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of social and digital marketing professionals while fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the department.
- Develop and build partner relationships to keep Starz at the forefront of innovate platforms and executions.
- Optimize ways to extend the digital campaigns in support of STARZ Originals to affiliate partners extending reach of the digital efforts.
- Identify custom content needs, talent support, etc. to promote Starz originals and build engaged social communities, working in conjunction with internal partners
- Work with the media team to develop targeted digital media plans, including: SEM, display, video distribution/promotion and non-traditional online engagement
- Leverage trend analysis, tracking, and other reporting across series, content type and channel (site traffic, social networks.com, mobile, etc.) to ensure KPIs are met and resources optimized
- Liaison to internal and external teams to analyze digital metrics and trends to improve and/or add functionality, drive higher engagement and longer time spent on site/page, and increase conversions in an effort to improve program performance.
- Manage budgets, develop cohesive conclusions and present key findings to executive team
- Evaluate emerging digital technologies, identify strategic partnership opportunities, advocate for innovation, and employ strategic thinking to connect digital, social, mobile, and evolving media components to the Starz business, ultimately leading viewers to our original programming and driving Starz subscriptions
- Supervise and develop digital marketing team
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline preferred; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of prior marketing experience with at least 6 years of digital and social marketing experience
- Prior supervisory experience including leading and developing teams
- Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies with a proven ability to leverage research and analysis to drive strategic direction, best practices and process improvements; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant experience in the entertainment industry and working with talent and creators
- Demonstrated experience and passion for social media; educated in all current social platforms and new/on-the-horizon platforms.
- Exceptional people and project management skills; ability to manage relationships with various business units, departments and consultants and external partners/agencies.
- Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and focus while adhering to strict project timeline and budgets.
- Strong understanding of growth and movement of digital landscape.
- Experience with a variety of social and digital publishing, monitoring, and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Adobe Social, Nielsen Social, Spredfast, Telescope, Percolate, etc.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function well in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
- Experience overseeing internal and external creative teams/agencies

Compensation
$200,000 - $240,000
