Description

The company is seeking a dynamic, experienced VP, Digital Marketing to join our growing organization. Reporting to the CXO, the ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player capable of partnering across the agency with strategy, technology, project/account management, and design teams to enable solutions that drive business momentum and deliver better outcomes for our clients. S/he will be a hybrid of strategic and hands-on, be an excellent communicator, and have proven leadership skills and success in the strategy and execution of technical, experimental, analytical, and performance marketing across a broad range of digital platforms and industries.  

Today, the company’s Digital Marketing team is focused primarily on technology enablement and consulting. We are looking for the right growth-minded leader to help inform where and how we expand, and how we productize new services and bring them to market. 

The Gig 

Lead a team of six that is expected to grow and expand exponentially in the next year 

Define the next phase of evolution for our Digital Marketing practice, with a focus on post-launch activities, experimentation, and performance marketing 

  • Be a product champion for our key technology partners (Optimizely & Sitecore), and keep pace with their rapid evolution 
  • Be a player-coach who can direct a team and be an effective administrator, but also role up his/her sleeves and get to work 
  • Shape process, strategy, operations, and deliverables for the Digital Marketing team 
  • Support new business efforts and be the face of Digital Marketing at the company for partners and prospects 

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years as a team/department lead 
  • Experience in market/user research, data analysis, or other ways to bring data into the scope to influence and support product decisions 
  • Comfortable and experienced with synthesizing information for consumption by an executive-level audience 
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts, analytical techniques, and the scientific method required 
  • Robust experience in A/B and multivariate testing 
  • Ability to understand and engage with technical teams on highly complex projects 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the martech stack – experience with Optimizely and/or Sitecore preferred, but not required 
  • Self-motivated and accountable 
  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently 
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Able to synthesize sophisticated information into a well-formed narrative and deliver capably that narrative to various audiences 
  • Experience with set up and maintenance of analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, or BrightEdge
