Project Manager-SAP BPC Implementation
 
M Squared has been asked to partner with our client to provide a consultant who is prepared to lead project management, ensure organization alignment, and build readiness for the change impact of the transformation initiative specifically around SAP BPC, working as part of the broader initiative team efforts.
 
Definition of Success
M Squared Consulting will provide project management expertise to support the success of the BPC rollout program. A successful rollout will yield world-class standardized and scalable processes and systems for financial reporting, and quarter/year end close activities.
 
Our Approach  
M Squared Consulting will bring project management leadership and execution to the BPC program.  Our approach will be to provide a seasoned project management consultant to lead the implementation of the new BPC tools and processes to accelerate execution of the business benefits.  Our consultant will work to drive adoption, utilization and proficiency on the changes impacting employees and external stakeholders, again, as part of the broader project teams
 
M Squared Consulting Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of project plans in collaboration with executive sponsors and project teams on BPC program
  • Drive adoption of the changes, including identification and management of key stakeholders and development of metrics to measure success
  • Drive and lead the execution from current to future state to ensure understanding of the impact to people, process, and technology and the associated project
  • Leverage the right set of project management processes and tools to facilitate rollout throughout the organization
  • Incorporate and steward key change management plans/tactics into overall project plan, including  stakeholder engagement, communications, and training activities, as appropriate
  • Assess implementation and adoption progress; address risks and issues and recommend mitigations
  • Design a continuous improvement process to ensure lessons learned are applied effectively for subsequent phases of the program
  • Ensure consistent management and monitoring of the project including evaluation and assessment of the quality and effectiveness of program and the flow of information to solidify success
  • Develop a framework to drive the initiative and alignment to other cross-functional initiatives to ensure overall fit and operational integrity, opportunity for enhancement.

  • Project status metrics  and impact assessment(s)
  • Stakeholder engagement plans that build commitment to the anticipated outcomes
  • Readiness assessments – including periodic updates
  • Risks and issues identification, management, mitigation
  • Continuous improvement processes for application of lessons learned
  • Quality and effectiveness assessments and evaluations
  • Assessment Framework for understanding initiative alignment, fit, integrity, and impacts of change
  • Regular reviews with stakeholders

 
Consultant Expertise
Required Industry Background

  • Large global firm  

Required Functional Background

  1. Significant project management with subject matter expertise in 1) SAP BPC projects or similar software rollouts 2) In Banking, Finance or similar technology initiatives
  2. Demonstrated ability to design and execute ideas: plan, develop, communicate, benchmark, track, and measure
  3. Track record of success building internal business relationships at a senior level with demonstrated success in project execution  

 
 

Engagement Logistics
The client will meet with M Squared consultants as soon as possible; work is slated to begin in March 2016.  Deployment will be full-time, onsite in the San Jose area with some opportunity for off-site work after an initial ramp-up period.  Regular meetings between the client and M Squared’s consultant will ensure tight alignment of expectations and quality of deliverables. This engagement is expected to run for 12 months with possibility of extensions.  Initial consultant meetings to assure fit will be one-on-one with the client.
