Duties & Responsibilities

As a Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:

  • Own, manage and evolve our online local store marketing (LSM) site, including the execution and fulfillment of all local marketing material requests from the restaurants, as well as the development and refresh of national LSM toolkits.
  • Work with freelance and agency designers, copywriters and our Marketing Managers to develop creative templates in support of national marketing initiatives and local store tactics.
  • Work with Digital Media Coordinator to setup email blasts and promotional QR codes related to both national and local store promotions, and support new initiatives as required.
  • Assist Marketing Managers with food and beverage menu updates, as required.
  • Assist VP of marketing and Marketing Managers with loyalty programs, as required.
  • Assist with partner relationships and programming, as required.
  • Update the company website and the individual brand websites with location, menu and marketing promotional information, as required.
  • Help to manage the Gift Card Program, including both SIR portfolio-wide and brand-specific initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for the Marketing Department.
  • Participate in special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary/University Degree – Marketing or Commerce preferred.
  • One to two years’ experience in Marketing, Sales or Agency side within a fast paced industry. Food services experience may be seen as an asset, but is not required.
  • Has reliable transportation.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be capable and savvy to manage an on-line marketing tool and back end set up for promotional activity (QR codes, email blasts).
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques, and proven writing skills.
  • Print production knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be highly motivated, with great enthusiasm.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and display flexibility within a multi-task, fast paced work environment.
  • Proven organization, planning, and problem solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate, respond to and lead change.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be highly motivated, with great enthusiasm and a proven team player.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.
