UNC-TV seeks an experienced Director of Digital Marketing to lead, inspire, and manage our newly-formed digital marketing team responsible for UNC-TV’s digital marketing portfolio including but not limited to social media, website, email, and online video as well as the data analytics needed to optimize these efforts. The director drives the strategic development and execution of marketing plans for UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina across digital channels to drive brand awareness, engage audiences, drive fundraising and contributions, and advance the organization’s mission.


Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

·       Provide guidance and leadership to a digital marketing team to produce email, web, and social media efforts of utmost excellence and aligned with best practices

·       Lead the strategy and implementation process from setting clear goals across digital platforms, managing capacity of team members, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

·       Produce dynamic content across digital platforms that connects with a diverse audience

·       Drive audience and visitor growth and engagement across social, email and web properties

·       Define the strategy for each channel in support of Re-Branding project slated for fall ’20

·       Analyze results to inform future strategy and drive increases in channel KPIs

·       Lead channel debrief meetings with Marketing and other departments to capture learnings from previous campaigns and efforts, and plan for future initiatives

·       Manage digital marketing budget in collaboration with cross-departmental stakeholders

·       Evaluate and provide direction for vendors, contracts, RFPs and bids

·       Oversee systems and technology, and providing direction on data workflows and reporting
