The director of digital marketing is responsible for leading digital marketing strategy to advance Sanford Health’s brand and business objectives. Oversees content, both traditional and digital paid media efforts, digital user journeys via web, email and social channels, as well as performance analytics and optimizations. Accountable for connecting system marketing and brand strategies to appropriate tools, content, conversion tracking and integration within the digital ecosystem. Responsible for strategic planning, design, development, and implementation of Sanford's cohesive digital consumer marketing, inclusive of content, paid media, websites, email programs, social channels and digital engagement platforms in alignment with the system marketing strategy. Ensures paid media placements, content channels, web architecture, and conversions are intentionally designed with consumer experience in mind and consistent with industry best practices.
Provides strategic leadership and creative thinking tied to the analysis of consumer behaviors, media consumption and technology trends, and identifies new opportunities and optimizations. Collaborates with business subject matter experts to understand business objectives, while maintaining and focusing on a seamless customer experience within the digital ecosystem.
Works strategically across the marketing department to maximize collaboration, strategic planning and prioritization to increase traffic, lead generation, conversions and other pertinent objectives.
Leads governance of standards and guidelines across owned digital properties and brand channels to ensure the highest standards of user experience, brand consistency in alignment with industry best practice, performance benchmarks and accessibility standards.
Develops a robust reporting and analytics program in collaboration with marketing research that measures performance of
paid media placements, message efficacy, and cross-channel user journeys to deliver insights to inform optimizations, strategies, and execution.
Empowers creative and digital marketing teams to execute on visual, content and web strategy. Encourages a collaborative team dynamic to take the business objectives, strategies and opportunities and create innovative, user-focused, cohesive and consistent on-brand experiences within our digital ecosystem.
Manages department staff, budgets, and assignments to ensure alignment to strategic plan initiatives. Oversees the paid media alignment with finance on the reporting of media placement for accruals, planned spend and budget projections.
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer sciences, marketing, business or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of seven years of professional level experience in emerging digital platforms, digital media, interactive marketing or digital platform management, UX design and/or technical website development.
