The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for maintaining Purdue Federal Credit Union's brand voice and image on our proprietary digital platforms. They educate, guide, and create consistent messaging for our members through our website content and email marketing.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is part of Purdue Federal's marketing team and is crucial to the team's goals of building our digital content library as well as optimizing our digital messaging. They have a knack for and love of writing and designing content that educates and builds financial confidence for our current and potential members.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Email Marketing
    • Write content for mass email marketing communications.
    • Responsible for building and designing email marketing communications in Salesforce Email Studio.
    • Responsible for contact list management and email scheduling in Salesforce Email Studio.
    • Responsible for regular analytics and reports for email marketing.
  • Digital Content Management
    • Write and design consistent, easy-to-understand, and effective messaging on Purdue Federal's proprietary digital channels including, digital banking, and online application portals.
    • Update branch availability and hours on Purdue Federal's various online platforms including Google Maps, Apple Maps, and
    • Write and design messaging and content on to ensure it is up-to-date and compliant.

•Content Writing

    • Responsible for writing scripts for various video content including financial education, digital banking features and tutorials, and commercials.
    • Responsible for researching and writing financial education articles for Purdue Federal's blog, Money Moves.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

Education and Credentials

o Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or related field.


o 3-5 years of experience in digital content writing, website content management, designing and email marketing.


    • Proven ability to maintain a consistent brand voice while writing for various audiences.
    • Knowledge in website content writing and structure.
    • Knowledge of AP style formatting.
    • Experience in using email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Hubspot, or Salesforce.
    • Prior knowledge in personal finance topics a plus but not required. Must be willing to learn extensively.
    • Experience with SEO practices a plus but not required.
    • High level of organization, attention to detail and proofreading.
    • Experience in design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Canva preferred.
    • Experience in using website content management systems (CMS).
    • Self-starter who is comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
    • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts.
    • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership.
