Summary of the position:

The Digital Marketing Specialist will spearhead the development and execution of successful digital marketing strategies across different social media platforms and digital channels. Working closely with the marketing team, the chosen candidate will create compelling content, oversee campaigns, enhance performance, and continuously analyze data to improve outcomes. To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should be highly creative, data-oriented, and well-versed in the latest digital marketing trends and best practices. The position will center on social media management and other digital initiatives to boost brand presence, engage our desired audiences, and drive business growth.

This role reports to the Director of Market Execution. The position may be based out of our executive office in Chicago, Illinois (primary) or Hitachi's Manufacturing Plant in Michigan City, Indiana (secondary).This could also be a remote opportunity.

Duties and responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty.
  • Create compelling content for social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) tailored to target audience segments.
  • Schedule and publish social media posts within deadline, monitor comments and messages, and engage with the community promptly.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.

Digital Marketing Campaigns:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including email, newsletters, display advertising, and search engine marketing (SEM).
  • Create engaging and persuasive copy for digital ads, landing pages, and email campaigns to drive conversions and achieve campaign objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and optimize campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Support Lead Management process
  • Stay current with emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and techniques to identify new opportunities for campaign success.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop and curate high-quality, visually appealing content for digital channels, including blog posts, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather content requirements, develop content calendars, and execute content plans effectively.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), campaign effectiveness, audience insights, and competitor analysis.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement, make data-backed recommendations, and optimize digital marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Professional experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing channels, and related tools (Hey Orca, Semrush).
  • Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and digital campaign management.
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms (Google, Meta, etc.) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management platforms (DAM), and Project Management Software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
