PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

The Digital Marketing Specialist position reports to the Vice President, Operations and is responsible for, but not limited to, establishing viable leads and continuing partnerships with organizations, creating strategies that identify, engage, nurture and qualify leads and collaboration with sales and marketing teams to expand our target market and provide our custom cyber security programs and resources. The position requires performing general functions, as required:

  • Develop and optimize clear, concise, high-quality content for website and social media that is both relevant and search engine optimized (SEO) to evangelize impactful messages
  • Monitor and provide regularly reporting on campaigns for effectiveness, adjusting campaigns as required
  • Develop website traffic plan with measurable goals and benchmarks
  • Create high-impact visual content using Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) to drive user engagement and higher SEO rankings
  • Leverage social media platform algorithms to effectively reach target audience
  • Design digital marketing connections to build a more personalized experience to enhance customer communication and loyalty
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects by conducting research, data mining, and identifying relevant prospects that align with GLS’ business solutions/offerings
  • Manage Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns for named accounts provided by sales and discover new accounts through targeted demand generation programs
  • Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitors’ marketing tactics to identify new lead gen opportunities
  • Research: You’ll be required to research the target market during the lead generation activities such as understanding the pain points faced by the prospects during communication, identifying if they’re looking for specific features, and checking for competitor products mentioned/used by leads and prospects during communication and the intent behind using them.
  • Support the strategy, development, implementation, and optimization of integrated campaigns to generate leads, focused on key growth initiatives
  • Focused lead generation activities through innovative multi-channel marketing [i.e., SEO, web, email, social media, video, events, webinars, networking, and community building] that bring in qualified inquiries
  • Regularly track and report on marketing program/project metrics, successes, failures, and findings
  • Building digital Communities - aligning to GLS strategy (Gamification, other topics, forums)
  • Design / implement digital marketing strategy, process and communication that results in a more personalized customer journey and loyalty

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing and/or related area
  • Proficiency in SalesForce or related CRM sales tools
  • Digital Marketing background with experience in SaaS/ IT / Cyber security sector/industry. Direct experience in the Security Awareness Training and Compliance Training sector is a plus!!
  • A strong understanding of ABM, marketing automation, CRM, lead scoring, segmentation and revenue attribution
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven, results-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A proven self-starter, proactive with a positive attitude; also demonstrates high moral character, integrity and respect for others
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify issues/opportunities and implement solutions
  • Ability to work across disciplines to resolve issues
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Your own writing samples will be required upon request.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team player virtual office environment
  • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the authority
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality (you will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location: United States-Remote from your home office (Approved Stable/Safe Environment for maintaining confidential company information) with local travel within the Maryland tri-state area.

Position Type: Full time with a 90-day probationary period.

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Onsite/Travel Required: Occasional, or as required
