General Summary of Position

The Digital Marketing Manager role will help with strategy and execute all digital marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase conversion to goalzero.com.

Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce this position will implement the digital strategic growth initiatives in an explosive product category, working with their peers and external developers to execute those strategies flawlessly on time and on budget resulting in consistent double-digit growth. This role is for a data-driven optimizer, with experience running the various aspects of an ecommerce website and the digital advertising driving to it. We want someone who can take an idea and turn it into a well-executed reality.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive traffic and sales on Goalzero.com, working with the Ecommerce Director to develop and execute on digital marketing strategy.
  • Create landing pages, modify templates, and keep information up-to-date across the website.
  • Use site merchandising and marketing tactics to increase upsells and cross-sells on goalzero.com
  • Manage and run site optimization testing using A/B tools, reporting back with actionable insights for discussion and improvement.
  • Work with external partners on a weekly basis for support e.g. a web development agency for feature development and improvement.
  • Manage the paid search advertising budget and campaign oversight, with a focus on growth and profitability beyond branded terms.
  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team and the broader marketing department to achieve common business goals.
  • Work with Brand Manager to ensure A+ content is on point and effectively improving conversion rates while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Actively stay up to date on new and emerging digital marketing tactics and strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field of study. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Must have previous digital or e-commerce experience, with a proven track record of driving growth
  • Must demonstrate effective problem solving and creative abilities 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA degree in Marketing, Business or similar field or relevant work experience 
  • 3 plus years in a Digital Marketing role
  • Previous experience building brands within Omni-Channel businesses
  • SEO experience a plus
  • Paid search experience a plus

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective reporting capabilities to be able to analyze and interpret data not only for oneself, but at the appropriate levels for the various recipients.
  • Adept with Google suite of tools, e.g. Tag Manager, Ads, Optimizer, Data Studio.
  • Strong understanding of the customer journey, how to invest throughout the funnel, and measure results.
  • Strong self-management with attention to prioritization of projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of brand building and the ability to work within the guardrails of an Omni-channel business.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Regularly required to use a computer to communicate via online channels
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Minimal domestic travel is required – approximately 5% 
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
