Welcome to the exciting opportunity of becoming a Digital Marketing Intern at the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC)! This Digital Marketing Intern provides a valuable stepping stone to gaining hands-on experience in the field of digital marketing and regional planning. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will have the chance to work with multiple communities within our government region, helping to shape and tell the story of the Triad. You will assist our Planning Department in managing social media platforms and creating compelling website content that highlights our key initiatives, particularly for NCTriadOutoors.com. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with exceptional multi-tasking skills, who has a genuine passion for showcasing the unique characteristics and initiatives of the Triad.
Your primary responsibilities will include updating content on our website using our proprietary Content Management System (CMS), maintaining listing information, monitoring website traffic, and leading the social media presence for the site. In addition to the primary tasks, you may also have the opportunity to contribute to various digital marketing efforts such as photography, video interviews, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and web analytics. In our fast-paced, creative, and collaborative office environment, you will gain invaluable insight and experience across a broad spectrum of government functions.

This internship will provide you with a valuable platform to enhance your digital marketing skills while playing a vital role in shaping the regional narrative. Position Requirements
The candidate for Digital Marketing Intern would have either completed a BA/BS in marketing, entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, communications, English literature; be currently enrolled in a relevant graduate program; or recently completed a relevant graduate program. Applicants pursuing a BA/BS in the same fields may also be considered depending on experience and course work. Ideally, candidates have experience with posting engaging content on social media platforms; effective time management skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines; strong organizational skills; and familiarity with recreation assets around the 12-county region. Experience with Meta Business Suite is not required but is helpful. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, various software programs (MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud) and oral and written communications and interpersonal relations will be essential in this role.
If you are selected to fill the role of Digital Marketing Intern, you will need to present a valid driver's license, pass the pre-employment drug screen and background screening process. Travel may be required on occasion. This is a temporary, part-time position through December 2023.
