Summary of Position (Job Purpose)
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting addressable marketing channels (email, app messaging, personalization, and more) to acquire, retain, and re-engage in-store and online Dollar Tree and Family Dollar customers. The ideal candidate will be very organized, analytical, have a high level of attention to detail, and have experience in conceptualizing creative work and launching marketing campaigns.

The Coordinator must develop and maintain relationships with key business partners to assist with the calendaring, production, and trafficking of addressable campaigns and monetization programs. This role must understand and adhere to our brand and department goals while working closely with merchants and marketing channel teams to ensure the timely execution of omnichannel campaigns. The Coordinator will support the addressable team by preparing weekly and monthly channel reports, providing analysis, and gathering real-time insights as needed.

A working knowledge of digital marketing, ecommerce, retail, and/or omnichannel experiences is essential for this role. Experience with email or app platforms is a plus in order to segment, test, schedule, and deploy weekly campaigns.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable and well-versed on Dollar Tree and Family Dollar’s digital marketing solutions
  • Maintain addressable marketing editorial and deployment calendars
  • See marketing campaigns through from conceptualization to deployment and analysis, working closely with addressable marketing specialists, designers, copywriters, and developers
  • Proofread, test, schedule, and deploy email and app marketing campaigns, ensuring accuracy at each step
  • Support the team with planning and implementing A/B testing and optimization opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are understood, shared, and efficiently delivered
  • Partner with key stakeholders to verify in-store, online, and seasonal promotions before campaign launch
  • Review campaigns for compliance with strategic direction, brand guidelines, analytics tracking, and industry best practices/laws
  • Compile, analyze, and deliver regular marketing campaign reports and insights, partnering with manager to incorporate learnings into current and future planning
  • Support and execute other digital marketing tasks as assigned (ex: design, analytics, web content, etc.)

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of digital marketing, public relations, or communications experience
  • Self-starter, comfortable and effective working with varying levels of guidance
  • Adaptable to efficiently multi-task and work quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with content management systems, email service provider, CMS tool, or app platforms
  • Experience analyzing website data using an analytics tool (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • Exceptional working knowledge of various design programs and Microsoft Office
  • A/B Testing experience in retail or ecommerce industries is a plus
