We value the benefits of work/life balance through a hybrid work environment. While regular office presence is not required for this hybrid position, we strongly encourage our employees to work in the office two days a week, with Wednesday as an anchor day to strengthen our collaborative and supportive culture. Managers (with direct reports) are required to work in the office on the anchor day. Generally, twice a year for two consecutive days, all employees report to the office for special staff meetings/functions. As a result, only local candidates will be considered for this position .

Job Summary

As a Digital Marketing Coordinator , you will craft and execute marketing campaigns to expand the AASM’s reach and engagement through social media and digital channels. You will help develop strategic communications and digital content in alignment with the AASM’s objectives and ethos. A typical day includes managing and enhancing social media presence, creating engaging content, and leveraging analytics to track and improve campaign performance. The coordinator will also assist with website content maintenance to ensure alignment with marketing goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Digital Marketing and Social Media Management
    • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies on social media platforms to enhance brand image and audience engagement.
    • Plan and manage special social media events and campaigns to drive interaction and growth.
  • Analytics and Engagement Tracking
    • Utilize analytics tools to compile, analyze, and report on social media engagement, campaign performance, and website traffic.
    • Actively monitor and manage the organization’s reputation online, interpreting data to guide future marketing strategies.
  • Content Development and Community Building
    • Create and edit compelling digital content for websites, blogs, e-newsletters, and social media channels.
    • Engage in active moderation of online discussions and public platforms, fostering community interaction and managing public awareness efforts.
  • Campaign Coordination and Trend Analysis
    • Collaborate across departments for integrated social media advertising campaigns and follow the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • SEO Optimization and Website Management
    • Regularly update website content and create new pages, focusing on search engine optimization (SEO) principles to enhance online visibility and user engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in social media management, public relations, online content development, or similar background
  • Proficiency in the use of social media platforms LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram
  • Proficiency in WordPress content management system
  • Proficiency in compiling and interpreting analytics data
  • Skill in recognizing and understanding new web and social media trends
  • Strong content creation, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to interpret and share scientific and medical information for public understanding
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Prior experience in a medical or healthcare association
  • Working knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style
  • Experience with Adobe Express
  • Experience in graphic design
