Job Title: Digital Marketing Assistant
Office Location: Harbor Management Offices
Reports To: Director of Marketing & Consumer Experience
Summary: HarborWalk Village, a premier coastal destination in Destin, FL, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Digital Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing and Events team. This role goes beyond traditional digital marketing tasks, encompassing responsibilities such as managing online reviews, social media interactions, updating event information across various platforms and includes a direct role in event operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing:
- Execute digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement as directed by the Director of Marketing.
- Assist the Brand Integration and Events Manager in the upkeep of event advertisements and brand awareness through our online presence.
- Review Management:
- Monitor and respond to online reviews across multiple platforms promptly.
- Engage with visitors, address concerns, and promote positive interactions to enhance our online reputation.
- Social Media Messaging:
- Assist in managing social media responses through messenger platforms.
- Engage with the audience, answer inquiries, and provide relevant information to create a positive online community.
- Event Information Updates:
- Monitor and update event information on the official website, social media channels, chambers, and other relevant platforms as directed by the Brand Integration and Events Manager.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in event listings across all digital channels.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Brand Integration and Events Manager to integrate event information seamlessly into both digital platforms and on property.
- Collaborate with merchants and other departments to ensure collateral is equally distributed.
- Assist in monitoring merchant marketing request forms.
- Collaborate with the Events Operations Manager and Event Coordinator in execution of events and programming.
- Collaborate with the entire team in the researching and analyzing of market data and trends to identify new marketing tools and events.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor digital marketing performance metrics and generate reports as instructed by the Director of Marketing.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with online audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Familiarity with social media messenger platforms and review management tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Language Skills
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple and/or complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Fluency in additional language (e.g. Spanish, Filipino) is highly desirable.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications
Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
