Senior Manager, Digital Innovation Marketing

Position Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic marketer with a background in omni-channel, ecommerce, and marketing strategy to help develop game-changing ideas to grow online and offline engagement with innovative retail solutions. The Senior Manager, Digital Innovation Marketing (Contractor) is responsible for supporting a variety of initiatives to help the client Digital Marketing team drive new strategies to acquire new customers, increase engagement with existing customers, and drive enterprise value across both online and offline channels via innovative digital tactics. The Senior Manager will play a key role in crafting marketing plans & budgets, building awareness and consensus across the organization for those plans, and ensuring marketing strategies are executed according to plan, on time, and on budget. Marketing-savviness, a high degree of organization, data-oriented thinking, and project management ability are key attributes that the Senior Manager will bring to the table. This position is an 8-month contract role, running from September 2019 through April of 2020. Working closely with the Director of Digital Marketing and business partners across the organization, the Senior Manager will specifically be responsible for the following:

Duties: Responsibilities:

• Aid the Director of Marketing in fleshing out the holistic Digital Marketing strategy for client.com, via preparing competitive analysis, leveraging analytics to recommend next steps for optimizing campaigns, and putting together materials to communicate strategy to both internal and external partners. • Support the development of and manage the execution of marketing strategies and tactics across paid, earned, and owned channels. Tactics include email, direct mail, in-store, paid media, affiliate, social, and more. • Assist the Director in setting up a new center of excellence focused on paid search marketing and search engine optimization, crafting a coherent strategy and socializing cross functionally. • Manage and develop strong, collaborative relationships with Business Partners across the organization to ensure marketing initiatives meet ecommerce launch and in-store deadlines. • Be meticulously organized and comfortable with an unstructured, strategic, rapidly changing environment. Must deliver work that is on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy. • Apply ‘lessons learned’ and continuously improve the way that work is developed and delivered, providing feedback and implementing changes to optimize internal processes. • Act as an independent self-starter and anticipate requests to properly execute projects and initiatives.

Experience:

• 5+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding. • 3+ years cross-functional leadership experience. Specifically, experience developing and managing the execution of marketing strategies, briefs, plans; supporting execution of tactics.• 2+ years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience. • 2+ years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunities • Experience with paid search and/or search engine optimization a big plus. • Experience with email, web, and media strategy a plus. • Strategic structuring and thinking abilities; ability to communicate marketing concepts across teams in impactful, meaningful ways. Experience working with both business and creative partners a strong plus. • High level of comfort working and managing cross-functional relationships in highly matrixed organization •Proven track record of the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners in delivering positive ROI results. • Intellectual curiosity and rigorous analytical experience and a strong familiarity with the digital environment • Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base. • Strong PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. MBA a plus. What days & hours will the person work in this position?
